Connecting Android phone to Windows XP

Greetings. I just switched over from TracFone to an ATT Go Phone so I could use it in Canada. I bought the Avail 2 Android Smart Phone. I tried connecting the phone to the USB port of my Windows XP computer, and it brought up the Found New Hardware Wizard, prompting me for my installation disk. Which was not included with the phone. Any ideas as to where to find the driver? I have found this http: backslash backslash software.intel.com/en-us/articles/intel-usb-driver-for-Android-devices which is for the Intel Atom processor.
